Nimbus Boats. Feel the difference
Nimbus yachts are very seaworthy and reliable even in the most difficult conditions.
Swedish Nimbus motor yachts are distinguished by their Scandinavian design, high quality materials and carefully thought-out ergonomics. On board each model is convenient, comfortable and safe. By the way, the Swedes put safety at the forefront of their production. Nimbus yachts have been tested by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an authoritative classification society that certifies large commercial vessels. All Nimbus yachts are DNV certified.
The company was founded in 1968 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The first Nimbuses were built specifically for Volvo Penta, which at the time was developing new engines for pleasure boats. The vessels were designed by the famous Swedish yachtsman and designer Pelle Petterson. The boats turned out to be very successful - a year after the launch, Nimbus 26 became the "boat of the year". Now the Swedish shipyard is one of the market leaders in motor boats and yachts in its segment.
Nimbus implements the most modern technologies used in yacht building.
The hulls have a sandwich construction: rigid foam is sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass. This solution provides a large margin of safety - in unforeseen situations, the risk of serious damage is significantly reduced. In addition, the sandwich is an excellent heat and sound insulator.
Some models - Nimbus 305 Drophead and Coupe 305 - build hulls that do not have a clear transition threshold to planing mode, and therefore are economical at all speeds. Due to its good stability and ability to keep a course, the boat is excellent for use in marine conditions. High sides amidships provide greater safety, and variable deadrise on the bottom allows you to comfortably use the boat in various modes. Hull contours are optimized for boat movement at speeds up to 22 knots: the hulls have a "deep V" profile and reinforced structure.
All yachts in the Coupe series are equipped with a shaft drive, which makes them real seagoing vessels.
High-speed Nimbus models are equipped with the Zipwake dynamic trim-control system, which automatically adjusts roll and trim at different speeds under different loads, and also contributes to directional stability when cornering at high speed.
Another innovative feature of some Nimbus yachts is the asymmetric Sidewalk deck layout. A wider passage along the starboard side provides comfort in moving around the yacht.
Although the Swedish shipyard puts a lot of emphasis on the functionality and technology of yachts, the appearance of the yacht is also constantly being improved. Back in 1998, Nimbus yachts attracted the attention of the famous Italian designer Nuccio Bertone, who made designs for car brands such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. The result of this collaboration is the Nimbus 26 DC Epoca, one of the brightest in the Nimbus.
Now the Nimbus line consists of four series.
Coupé Cruisers are yachts for long voyages. Models of this series - Nimbus 405 Coupé, Nimbus 365 Coupé and Nimbus 305 Coupé - have 2-3 cabins for comfortable accommodation of 4-6 people. The stock of fuel and water provides autonomy for 400-500 km, and a speed of 18-25 knots - high mobility. This series is characterized by large windows and a glass panoramic roof, which gives a lot of light and space.
The Day Cruisers series is designed for short trips. Two models are being built - 305 Drophead and Weekender 9. A common feature of the series is more shared space. High speeds - up to 40 knots - allow you to visit fairly remote places during the day and return back. However, you can spend the night on board comfortably: both models are equipped with two double cabins.
Commuter is positioned as all-weather boats. There are three models in this series - Commuter 8, Commuter 9 and Commuter 11. The feature of this series is speed, all-weather and safety. Fishing and adventure are also about Commuter. All models have cabins and berths, yachts are equipped with both stationary and outboard motors with a capacity of 250 - 900 hp.
Fourth series - Tender. Fast sports boats for short trips. Three models are available - T8, T9 and T11. Every element of space has been thought out in order to obtain maximum comfort for 4-12 people with relatively small dimensions.
